I really hope this is not a preview of our winter...

Well, the past few weeks have been long ones. The majority of my family has been sick with coughing, congestion, etc. Last night was Halloween, so, naturally with it being a holiday, someone got sick. Two someones, actually. The Tweebs have been sick with a stomach bug since last night. I thought it was going away until a few minutes ago when Thing 1 started throwing up AGAIN. So, since I'm sitting here waiting for the inevitable repeat performance, I thought I would make a much overdue blog post.

Speaking of Thing 1, she really says some embarrassing things sometimes. Take last night for example. My sweet little lady, dressed up as Rapunzel, was trick-or-treating in my in-laws neighborhood. She walks up to one door and rings the doorbell. The people that live there have a large dog. She looks at the dog and says "That's a really big dog. I can see his weiner!". Oh good...I didn't really want to go trick-or-treating there again anyway.

Thing 2 was the first one to get sick. He started throwing up while getting his costume on, so he didn't get to go. That made him really sad and he has been quite pathetic since then. It makes it difficult for me, because he really is the baby of our family and acts like it. So I've been trying to quit babying him. But it's just gonna have to wait till his sickness is gone, because I am a sucker for that sad little face.

Motormouth hasn't gotten it yet, and I'm hoping that since his days of sticking everything in sight in his mouth are well past, he won't.

He dressed as BA Baracus for Halloween. As a child of the 80's, nothing makes this momma more proud than hearing her 8 year old say, in a perfect Mr. T voice, "I ain't goin on no airplane, Hannibal.". Too good.

I'll post pictures soon, but since I'm writing this post on the iPad, it'll have to wait.

Well, so far no more puking, so I'm gonna try to get some sleep. If it goes anything like last night, I'll be up again as soon as my head hits the pillow. Ah, the joys of motherhood.
